TelecomRedux creates new perspectives for the telecom community through news, in-depth analysis and provocative comment.

TelecomRedux content is written for senior executives in the telecom community – enterprises, integrators, carriers/telcos, network operators, ISPs, vendors and policy makers – covering both the global telecom industry and its intersection with IT, wireless and new media markets.

Our content reaches influential decision-makers through the TelecomRedux website and through partnerships across the telecom community.

TelecomRedux offers a comprehensive range of advertising, content and editorial services.

The team
TelecomRedux is produced by three of the most respected journalists in the telecom and technology spheres, who combine to bring a high level of experience, authority and insight to our coverage of the resurgent telecom sector:

Jim Chalmers has spent nearly 20 years writing about telecom and related technology sectors. He is best known for his role on Public Network Europe magazine, where he served as Editor for 13 years from its inception in 1990, also managing PNE's Yearbook and Mobile Yearbook series. Chalmers is also the author of Pocket Telecommunications, published by The Economist Books/Penguin. In addition he has contributed to a range of media outlets including The Daily Telegraph and the BBC, and numerous publications of The Economist Intelligence Unit. Throughout the 1990s he contributed articles on telecom to The Economist's acclaimed 'The World in…' series, which is syndicated worldwide. He has also collaborated with the ADB.

Ian Channing has been in technical journalism since 1968. Since the early 1980s he has specialised in wireless technology and mobile communications. He was the founding editor of the industry's premier mobile communications magazine, Mobile Communications International. As a freelance since 1989, Ian Channing has written on mobile and wireless subjects for a wide variety of national and international media including the Financial Times, The Times, The Wall Street Journal, The International Herald Tribune and Newsweek, as well as many business-to-business and mobile communications titles.

John Williamson BSc has been involved with the telecom industry for longer than he cares to remember. He's worked for trade publications such as Telecommunications International, Communications Engineering International, the Telephony group and Public Network Europe. Other writing credits include: The Financial Times, The Guardian, The International Herald Tribune, The Middle East Economic Digest, Newsweek, The Daily Telegraph, The Times, and The Wall Street Journal. He's also advised The World Bank on telecommunications in the developing world.

Publishing Manager
Madeline Williamson has been involved in various telecom-related projects for the past 20 years or so. She has helped out with Global Telephony, as well as being a production editor for several Financial Times newsletters. She currently manages the UK arm of a Florida-based PR company and assists with updating and editing a communications yearbook.

Sam Baird heads advertising. Three years working in technical advertising and translation in Germany were followed by over twenty years in international publishing, working in sectors such as chemicals, power generation and construction. For the last fifteen years he has focused on telecom and was Publisher of Telecommunications International and Total Telecom.
