The International Telecommunications Union (ITU) has announced its future plans with regard to its Telecom events. A new event is planned for Europe and with this addition the Telecom shows will cover four different regions during 2007 and 2008. Telecom Africa will take place in 2007, and Telecom Americas and Telecom Asia in 2008. The ITU’s flagship show, Telecom World, is scheduled for 2009. The new European event will provide a focus on European, CEE and CIS markets. ITU is currently launching a call for bids to select host venues for the forthcoming events.
