Telenet, the largest provider of broadband cable services in Belgium, has deployed Cirpack’s Class-5 switch solution to deliver voice over broadband services to business customers in Belgium and Luxembourg. Delivering a complete set of voice, data and internet services to over 76,000 professional clients under the brand Telenet Solutions, Telenet now has the voice delivery environment to offer new innovative services and strengthen its market position. Using Cirpack's MultiNode softswitch and gateway products, Telenet has launched its "Digital Voice over Broadband" service allowing small and medium businesses to connect their ISDN PBX to a secured DSL line and reduce their telecom bills without compromising quality and features of their phone service. Using state-of-the-art packet telephony technologies, Cirpack MultiNode delivers a complete set of ISDN services over the DSL line so business users do not have to change their installation, phones and habits. The Cirpack MultiNode is a carrier-grade telephony platform designed to deliver a full set of voice services to hundreds of thousands of subscribers simultaneously. It comprises a Class-5 and Class-4 softswitch and highly scalable media gateways enabling low cost deployments of toll-grade VoIP and VoATM services on a very large scale and connecting to the PSTN using any flavor of SS7. The Cirpack MultiNode provides carrier-grade reliability, scalability and regulatory features like lawful intercept and number portability to easily migrate any PSTN to Next generation Networks (NGN) and Voice over IP (VoIP).
