Access and Oki Electric have collaborated to develop a joint mobile IP telephony solution. They are the first in the industry to succeed in developing a mobile IP telephony environment that integrates Internet browsing with VoIP. The two companies plan to commercialize the solution. The "VoIP Integrated Client Environment" is the mobile IP telephony environment that links Access' NetFront Mobile Client Suite, a software suite for mobile devices, with Oki's high sound quality VoIP technology. The NetFront Mobile Client Suite integrates major software components including a browser, a messaging client, and Java, that significantly reduce development time and cost for next generation information equipment. By creating solutions with the VoIP Integrated Client Environment and Oki's IP telephony server, IP Convergencer Server SS9100, or the SIP compliant J2EE application server "SipAs on WebLogic," the two companies can now provide a mobile business environment.
