RFI Global Services Ltd (RFI) has signed an agreement with Unwired Stuff, a consultancy providing product assurance services for mobile handsets and SIM card products. The partnership will give RFI’s customers access to new services from a single source, extending the scope of mobile handset life cycle management to include thorough user experience/ live environment testing ahead of sale. This will give manufacturers significant commercial advantage in deploying their products onto networks faster, minimising risk and increasing network operator confidence. State-of-the-art wireless approvals require a more holistic approach to Quality-of-Service, and RFI needs to extend it’s provision to include all conformance, interoperability, field trial and the out-of-the-box assessment. RFI with the help of Unwired Stuff, will deliver a class-leading service in this respect. Unwired Stuff has developed an innovative methodology to de-risk investment in handset products for mobile operators. These tests quickly identify real issues that would be picked up by end-users in the live environment and would result in either a customer complaint through the call centre, or the product being returned for exchange.
