RFI takes delivery of new test platform Print E-mail
Thursday, 27 October 2005

RFI Global Services continues to expand its range of test capabilities by taking delivery of its 19th test platform. This is the first step in RFI’s aggressive development program to roll-out 3.5G services as part of a commitment to provide first-class support for cellular technology development. Worth over £500,000 the Rohde & Schwarz CRTU-W protocol tester is able to support all currently defined FDD regions and includes all the current test case packages that cover GCF and PTCRB.  In addition it supports all the currently validated HSPDPA test cases for 3.5G. In combination with RFI’s existing CRTU platform it allows InterRAT testing that simulates handover from UMTS to GSM and vice versa and offers customers an alternative to RFI’s existing Anritsu platform.
