MTV tests conVISUAL's interactive TV platform Print E-mail
Wednesday, 23 November 2005

The test installation of the "Mobile Interactive TV Platform" in the new broadcasting centre, in Berlin, marks the begin of the co-operation of conVISUAL and MTV. The aim is to extend the range of interactive services for MTV viewers. The music broadcaster, MTV, commissioned conVISUAL with a test installation of the "Mobile Interactive TV Platform". At first, the platform will be used for the interactive chart clip show "Get the Clip" of the current VIVA+ program. Apart from the receiving, processing and presentation of SMS messages, conVISUAL is also responsible for the evaluation of dynamic votings, i. e. voting on the next video clip, via SMS and telephone. As a result of the high grade of interactivity provided by the broadcasting format, conVISUAL realises, besides establishing connections with interfaces of the MTV system, the complete real time controlling of the broadcasting operation.  The voting results determine the music clips and commercials, timed with graphic flashes in the TV picture, to be shown next. conVISUALs "Mobile Interactive TV Platform" allows TV broadcasters for independent integration of  mobile interactive services into their programs.  The open, modular system is very advantageous. One single platform at the broadcaster´s premises allows for the realisation of numerous applications, enabling seamless integration of games or TV formats of third party providers by means of interfaces.
