The TeleManagement Forum Co-operative OSSProject - composed of Alcatel, Ericsson, Huawei, Lucent, Motorola, NEC, Nokia, Nortel, Samsung and Siemens - has announced the launch of the Mobile Service Provider Advisory Council (MSPAC). The Advisory Council will provide a forum for the CO-OP team to gather specific, practical input on real world network management challenges directly from service providers and with their assistance, to define priorities for building solutions to these challenges. The Mobile Service Provider Advisory Council will offer mobile service providers with the unique opportunity to discuss cross-vendor network management issues directly with ten of the largest network equipment vendors who are working collaboratively to address these very issues.

The two Mobile Service Provider Advisory Council inaugural sessions will be in the format of a roundtable event, and are scheduled for Monday 13th February at 13.30 and at 18.30 with prior registration at the TM Forum booth in Hall 2, 3GSM World Congress, Barcelona. Attendees will be able to provide feedback and discuss their ideas for the Advisory Council work. The Advisory Council operating guidelines for moving forward will then be formalised following the 3GSM Congress roundtable events using the input from the attendees.
