3GSM: Ireland showcases Print E-mail

Eighteen of Ireland 's leading telecommunications companies are exhibiting innovative solutions for the mobile industry at the Irish Pavilion (Hall 1, Stand C56) at the 3GSM World Congress 2006. The exhibiting companies are all leaders in their respective fields and operate in areas including mobile blogging, advanced personalisation and dual-mode handsets. 

Ireland is widely recognised as a centre of excellence for the development of mobile technologies, a fact borne out by Vodafone's recent decision to open its Centre of Excellence for Personalisation and Storage in Dublin . The Vodafone Centre will work with smaller Irish companies, including some of the companies exhibiting at the Irish Pavilion, to bring new mobile technology to the marketplace.

Announcements being made by Irish companies at 3GSM 2006 include: 

CHANGINGWORLDS (www.changingworlds.com) is announcing that Kuwait 's Wataniya Telecom has deployed its ClixSmart Intelligent Portal Platform.
NEWBAY SOFTWARE (www.newbay.com) is announcing that Malaysia 's Maxis Communications has deployed its unique mobile blogging technology, plus the release of new mobile blogging statistics.
OPENMIND NETWORKS (www.openmindnetworks.com) is announcing the deployment of its SMS Intelligent Load Optimiser and SMS Direct Deliver Router at Mobitel , Bulgaria 's leading mobile operator.
XIAM TECHNOLOGIES (www.xiam.com) is announcing the launch of its MPOS Adspace solution, which enables operators to open advertising space on mobile phones to third parties.
CELLUSYS (www.cellusys.com) provides a suite of solutions for mobile messaging, digital media delivery, email and IP based voice integration, and will announce the latest addition to its portfolio on 15 February 2006.
CIBENIX (www.cibenix.com) provides smart phone solutions that enable the personalisation and customisation of content delivery, and will announce its latest product release on 14 Feburary 2006.
MACALLA (www.macalla.com) will announce the deployment of its Mobile Top-Up platform, that enables pre-paid top-up, plus other secure transactional applications, at two major mobile operators on 14 and 15 February 2006.
TANGO TELECOM (www.tango.ie) will announce the integration of its Voice and Data Converged Charging Node with a leading Middle Eastern solutions provider's billing platform on 14 February 2006.
YQ? INTERNATIONAL (www.yqinternational.com) will announce the latest addition to its range of self-service machines for top up of pay-as-you-go mobile phones on 14 February 2006.
