Tuesday, 07 March 2006

Squire Technologies has unveiled its new highly scalable SS7 Media Gateway, the SVI-MG, one of the only single-box solutions of its kind on the market.  Although SS7 has historically been charged at a premium, the SVI-MG will bring SS7 to VoIP at a price that is similar to lower-cost ISDN.  As a result, the SVI-MG offers a solid return on investment, as well as a highly flexible solution that can be used in conjunction with other VoIP Media Gateways, thus allowing clients to maximise their existing infrastructure. The SVI-MG, which can scale from 4E1 to 512E1, also supports CAS and R2 protocols for incumbent networks, as well as comprehensive ISDN support. Full inter-working is supported across all VoIP and TDM protocols simultaneously, thus allowing for a single multi-protocol TDM to VOIP gateway to be deployed for interconnecting differing networks. The SVI-MG also has RADIUS support that allows the SVI-MG to be integrated with billing and routing engines. With call progress tones, voice announcements, and powerful routing options, the SVI-MG is a single one-stop solution for providing a complete PSTN to VOIP service.
