Thursday, 06 April 2006

Pointsec Wireless Solutions is a self-sustained business unit within Pointsec Mobile Technologies that will be focused on bringing data encryption to wireless devices in the enterprise. Recognising the growing enterprise acceptance of smartphone technology and the preference for integrated solutions in the enterprise wireless market, Pointsec Wireless Solutions will be focused on strengthening the channel for Pointsec's data encryption software for wireless devices with wireless carriers and handset manufacturers. While the need for encryption to protect stored data is the same for all endpoint computing equipment, the unique management requirements for enterprise wireless deployments demand an integrated approach best achieved through a single solution provider. Pointsec Wireless Solutions will meet this customer need by strengthening and building the channel for Pointsec's multi-platform security solutions with wireless carriers and handset manufacturers. In addition to managing the channel, the business unit will leverage its specialized knowledge of the wireless industry to direct future product development for Pointsec's wireless solutions so that its offerings best serve the security needs of its wireless partners and their customers.
