Icelandic wireline and mobile carrier Og Vodafone has launched the first of a series of new revenue-building voice services on an advanced programmable switching platform from infrastructure vendor Telsis. More than a third of Iceland's population used the new mass calling service to vote during a recent screening of Pop Idol - setting what Og Vodafone expects to be the first of a series of national records for audience participation.
