Gallery enables VoIP in Hungary Print E-mail
Monday, 05 June 2006

Gallery IP Telephony has enabled the recent launch of the VoIP services offered by FiberNet Communications, the third largest cable operator in Hungary. FiberNet plans to reach more than 10,000 subscribers with the service in 2006. and expects 40,000 subscribers by the end of 2008. Gallery’s CAssiopeia Softswitch supports applications that will be delivered using both PacketCable and SIP simultaneously on the same platform, with full utilization of Quality of Service (QoS) granting protocols. It is configured in a network-based architecture implementing a Topology Hiding concept which enables easy handling of provisioning,  network management and statistics, as well as applications execution and advanced routing to handle the multi-switch and multi-VoIP environment. For the FiberNet deployment, Gallery was responsible for the integration of the various components of the Hungarian network, including both, the billing platform and CRM provisioning interfaces as well as the use of SDH Trunk Gateway equipment linking the FiberNet platform over a fiber loop to the Hungarian network using Hungarian SS7 signaling. Gallery also served as the prime contractor for the project and the system integrator.
