22 October, 2004: CSG Systems has announced that Sunrise, the second largest telecommunications service provider in Switzerland, has successfully deployed CSG Kenan/BP as its strategic billing platform supporting its rollout of new 2.5G and 3G services.

As the strategic billing provider of sunrise, CSG supports the post paid customers within its total mobile customer base of 1,323mn and 800,000 residential wireline customers on a single platform. With a transparent view of the customer base, sunrise can differentiate itself with the ability to deliver all services with a single bill. In addition, this holistic customer view enables it to consistently deliver high-quality service and deploy innovative marketing programs and bundled offers across all of its subscribers.

The convergent billing platform of sunrise also supports all of the services the operator offers or plans to offer in the Swiss market across its existing GSM and GPRS networks, as well as the services that will be launched under the new UMTS network for which sunrise holds a license.

sunrise also has successfully deployed the CSG Kenan Roaming module, which is pre-integrated within CSG Kenan/BP, in order to support its mobile roaming needs. This functionality enables it to effectively manage its existing roaming revenues and programs, as well as being able to capitalise on any new additional revenue-generating opportunities through the roaming standards supported within the module.
