Highway Agency extends telent contract |

telent and Atkins have announced that their Midlands Technology Maintaining Agency Contract (Tech MAC) with the Highways Agency has been extended until July 2009. The contract extension, worth £5mn, will see telent and Atkins working in partnership, to continue to maintain and manage motorway and trunk road communications, as well as signalling, in the entire
Midlands region. A 24-hour, 365-day service will be provided to the Highways Agency, with telent and Atkins engineers and technicians located throughout the region. telent and Atkins have a proven track record as major service providers to the Highways Agency, and are currently working in the
Midlands and the Northwest of England maintaining motorway communications equipment as well as managing and maintaining the Highways Agency's private communications network.
