Sybase 365 has signed two new agreements extending its reach in the Commonwealth of Independent States and South Asia. The deal with Global Message Services, the leading provider of SMS and MMS across the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) allows Sybase 365 to expand into this growing region and offer International SMS services to more than 100mn subscribers across the eleven countries that form the CIS. The hubbing agreement immediately enables Ukrainian operators including Kyivstar, UMC, Beeline, PEOPLEnet, Intertelecom and Velton.Telecom to connect their subscribers to the wider international mobile community. Sybase 365 has also been selected by Aircel Ltd., a subsidiary of Malaysia's Maxis Communications Berhad, the leading mobile operator in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, to offer International Short Message Service (ISMS) connectivity to its over four million mobile subscribers.
