Lyse Tele, a subsidiary of Lyse Energi, a Norwegian multi-utility services company, has leveraged the Comverse MyCallR Converged Communications solution to become a quad play provider by adding mobile services to its triple play offering. Comverse is teaming with Cicero Networks, a leading provider of wireless VoIP solutions for fixed mobile convergence, in this deployment. With this move into the fixed mobile convergence arena, Lyse can offer their customers both fixed and cellular calls using a single phone and single number. Comverse MyCall, together with Cicero's CiceroPhone and CiceroController, enable users of dual-mode handsets to seamlessly roam from Wi-Fi to GSM during a call, without any service interruption. Originally founded as a power utility company, Lyse Energi serves more than 100,000 customers in the southwest region of Norway. In previous years, its subsidiary, Lyse Tele, launched voice, data and video services to subscribers in fixed communication bundles based on the Comverse MyCall IP Telephony and IP Video solutions. These services operate from systems that share the same core architecture to provide advanced IP communications as part of triple play services for residential customers and business services for enterprises. Now, by extending its offering to include mobile services, Lyse has become a quad play provider.
