Thursday, 19 July 2007
Redknee has announced that two of its monetisation products have been selected by Far EasTone Communications as part of Redknee’s strategic reseller agreement with CommVerge Solutions Holdings ( Asia) Inc. (CommVerge Solutions).  The deal constitutes the first phase in a multi-phase project. Far EasTone currently serves over 6 million subscribers and is actively moving forward with its strategy to provide a converged fixed-mobile service environment. The implementation of Redknee’s next-generation network service capabilities will enable Far EasTone to introduce competitive bundled offerings and improved service quality across its subscriber-base, in addition to delivering operating and capital cost efficiencies. CommVerge, in Phase 1 of the project, will provide project management and engineering expertise to integrate Redknee’s Policy Decision Rules Server (PDRS) and Unified Rating & Charging System (URCS) with Far EasTone’s telecommunications network in Taiwan.  Redknee’s monetisation products provide Far EasTone with a real-time converged rating, charging and policy management system for advanced data services across prepaid, postpaid, fixed and mobile subscribers in a unified platform. Redknee’s PDRS and URCS products collectively provide a unified point of control and management of data services across all access types from 2.5G to High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (“HSDPA”) and other emerging technologies.
