02 November, 2004: Telecoms engineering and support services specialist DMN Installations has acquired specialist US software systems integration and engineering company, Chicago-based GT&K Network Solutions Inc., (GTK). The acquisition will allow DMN to strengthen service provision to customers on a global basis, as well as giving the company greater access to the North American and Latin American markets.

DMN's resource management strengths will be complemented by GTK's Global Resource Management System (GRMS). This manages the deployment of appropriate resources - personnel and equipment – to projects anywhere in the world.

GTK's current service solution focus is on soft switch database configuration, media messaging service elements, RAN optimisation using multi-vendor solutions, and inventory management. US clients of these last two services include Centinel and Verizon, respectively. The company also delivers IP configuration tools for UMTS and CDMA 3G networks.
