Half a billion mobiles in Q3 says Wireless Intelligence. But men from Ministry say they’re there already…
China, the largest cell phone market in the world, is on track to pass the 500mn connection mark in Q3 2007. So says a recent analysis of that market by Wireless Intelligence (WI) - the joint venture between Ovum and the GSM Association. According to WI, with quarterly growth averaging around 4%, China Mobile’s own data indicates a gravity-defying net addition of nearly 5.6mn subscribers in July.
