Tuesday, 09 October 2007
Syniverse Technologies has signed a data clearing contract that extends its solution to six additional VimpelCom Group national operators. Under the new agreement, VimpelCom Group national mobile operators in Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Armenia will use Syniverse ACCESS S&E(r) GSM Clearinghouse Services to support international GSM data roaming for their subscribers under the Beeline brand. Mobitel, a VimpelCom mobile operator based in the Republic of Georgia, selected ACCESS S&E for its data clearing and settlement services earlier this year. Syniverse's GSM clearinghouse solution will allow VimpelCom operators ArmenTel (Armenia), Tacom (Tajikistan), Unitel (Uzbekistan) Mobitel (Georgia), Ukrainian Radio Systems (Ukraine), VimpelCom Russia and KaRTel (Kazakhstan) to achieve seamless and efficient data roaming services for its subscribers by ensuring all data records are cleared between the VimpelCom operators and their many roaming partners around the globe in a rapid, accurate and cost-effective manner while supporting a number of international standards and VimpelCom Group business rules.
