Hawaiian Telcom deploys Telcordia solution Print E-mail
Wednesday, 17 October 2007
Just nine weeks after selecting Telcordia to support its next-generation IP services, Hawaiian Telcom has deployed Telcordia Granite Inventory with native activation capabilities to automate the provisioning of high-speed DSL service over its new MultiProtocol Label Switching (MPLS) network. MPLS is a key initiative for Hawaiian Telcom, which is now able to offer DSL services at speeds up to 11Mbit/s. The faster speeds will help Hawaiian Telcom attract and retain customers, differentiate its broadband services in the market, and drive additional revenue. The record-breaking nine-week time to deployment began on June 14, 2007, when Hawaiian Telcom selected the market leading Telcordia Fulfillment Suite to support its new MPLS-based IP services, including provisioning of IP VLANs, DSL over IP, and other future IP-based services. On August 20, 2007 Hawaiian Telcom began using the Telcordia Granite Inventory and Activation modules in its live production environment..
