telent secures multimillion pound contract extension |

telent has announced that its contract with Alstom Transport for the ongoing maintenance of communications systems on the Northern Line has been extended by a further five years. The extension comes after a successful ten-year partnership with Alstom, a global leader in rail infrastructure. The multimillion-pound contract will see telent continue to provide essential maintenance of communications systems on the Northern Line, including track-to-train CCTV and track-to-train data. The delivery of these maintenance services will ensure that London Underground can support its operations with efficient communications systems. The new contract will run from January 2008 to January 2013.
