Nokia Siemens Networks has signed a frame agreement with Eutelia to build a high performance fibre optic carrier network for the Italian operator. The new generation transport network will allow Eutelia to provide its customers with advanced services and meet the growing demand for network capacity. The new network, featuring Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technology, will be able to respond to the growing traffic demand from Eutelia’s customers across
Italy
, resulting from the rapidly increasing use of data and multimedia services . It will ensure at the same time notable flexibility and cost efficiency in providing and managing network resources. With scalable DWDM technology, Eutelia will be able to boost traffic volume over its new fiber network and to provide a wide range of services. The system offers short implementation time and easy operation.
