OnRelay has been granted a patent for its MBX software in Europe (Patent No 1374609) adding to existing patents in the
United States
,
Singapore
and
Australia
. Granting of the patent protects the innovation that has made MBX the only known system that allows a mobile phone to completely replace a deskphone. The MBX patent covers the fundamental MBX system architecture and all basic call flows of the MBX system, including its seamless routing of mobile calls in both directions via PBX systems. OnRelay recently secured Series D funding that will allow it to continue to develop and protect its intellectual property as well as support international expansion into North America and further into Europe and continue to invest heavily in maintaining product leadership. The core of the MBX patent is OnRelay's underlying Telephony Internetworking Protocol (TINP). TINP is based on end-to-end separation of telephony signaling and transport across multiple standards, operators, and network boundaries. TINP is a fundamentally new way of allowing mobile phones to seamlessly interconnect with PBX switches and corporate IP telephony servers on a global scale in an operator independent manner.
