Ericsson has successfully upgraded and expanded the GSM/WCDMA core network for leading Greek telecom operator WIND
Hellas. The sole supplier contract included the swap to Ericsson's WCDMA/GSM common core network solution. Under the agreement, Ericsson provided a turnkey solution including network design, equipment supply and migration to the new core infrastructure, as well as network deployment and systems integration. Ericsson was also responsible for network and business =support systems, to ensure a seamless transition and handle increased traffic growth. IND Hellas' single core network is now based on Ericsson's

It is an mportant step towards an all-IP network, enabling a reduction in etwork operating costs. Through the introduction of a layered rchitecture, Ericsson MSS ensures a common foundation for ext-generation services. Ericsson's packet core nodes are now upporting WIND
Hellas in handling their HSPA traffic growth eficiently.
