Mformation Technologies has extended its mobile device management (MDM) product portfolio for new WiMAX-capable devices.  Mformation is commercially deploying MFORMATION SERVICE MANAGER for WiMAX to a number of customers, to provide seamless all-IP device management and remote activation capabilities. The new MDM functionality will enable service providers to use Mformation's MDM technology to remotely activate, configure, diagnose, update, secure and manage WiMAX-capable devices through all phases of their lifecycle. This will ensure that services and applications are delivered smoothly across any network, providing a flawless service experience across multiple network types. Device support and competence in WiMAX is critical to successful deployment of WiMAX-based devices and services.   With support for more than 1,400 device types across multiple mobile network technologies, Mformation has proven its ability to seamlessly support many different device types and operating systems.  Mformation's device management platform currently manages multiple classes of device on the huge scale that large carriers and service providers require. The MFORMATION SERVICE MANAGER for WiMAX is being tested and validated to work with a number of WiMAX products. Mformation's leadership role in the development of OMA DM standards and experience with the OMA DM protocol is particularly important to the faultless management of WiMAX-based devices and services, which are managed via new all-IP versions of the OMA DM protocol.
