Pointer Telocation teams with Inovação Print E-mail

Pointer Telocation, a AVL (Automatic Vehicle Location) solutions provider for fleet management, car and driver safety, public safety, road-side assistance, vehicle security and asset management, has announced a partnership with Portugal Telecom Inovação SA, a developer of Intelligent Networks (IN), telecommunications solutions and systems, and provider of technological research and engineering to the Portugal Telecom Group. Under the partnership, PT Inovação will incorporate Pointer Telocation's Cellocator GPS-tracking units into their location-based services for their users.  Some of the Cellocator solutions being incorporated by PT Inovação include the CelloTrack, a small, standalone tracking device for complete fixed and mobile, powerless and powered asset tracking, aimed at asset management, inventory control, loss prevention and security, as well as compact security and anti-carjacking solutions.   Among other users, PT Inovação is providing the units to large fleet operators, rental companies, and car manufacturers.  Additional projects in Portugal and elsewhere are also currently under development as well as through the Pointer Telocation - PT Inovação partnership.
