Monday, 12 May 2008
Harris Stratex Networks is to provide its Eclipse radios to TeamTalk , New Zealand ’s largest mobile radio network provider. TeamTalk will deploy the Eclipse radios as part of its network expansion throughout New Zealand . Harris Stratex will also provide a complete range of consulting services and support to TeamTalk.  TeamTalk is a majority shareholder of fibre-optic carrier CityLink, and of wireless broadband operator Araneo-the latter will utilise TeamTalk’s expanded transmission network for its own linking needs. The radios will provide access link capabilities, using Eclipse’s compact nodal configuration to enable operators to aggregate and concentrate traffic with no need for additional equipment. They provide significant reductions in the complexity of network deployments, such as those used by TeamTalk.
