ADC has announced that the Netherlands Ministry of Agriculture (Ministry LNV) has deployed its InterReach Unison® solution to deliver pervasive, multi-carrier in-building cellular coverage at one of its main building complexes in The Hague , Netherlands . After evaluating several in-building cellular systems, Ministry LNV staff chose the InterReach Unison system because it leveraged network cabling already installed in the complex, delivered the best performance, and was the most cost-effective.

“We wanted our staff to have cellular connectivity throughout the complex, and we decided to purchase a system ourselves to speed deployment and provide multi-carrier coverage,” said Hans Schulz, project manager for Ministry LNV. “ADC’s InterReach Unison system was clearly the best of the systems we evaluated because it offered high performance with high cost-efficiency, and it could support multiple carriers without requiring additional cabling.”

The
InterReach Unison system installed by ADC and its local business partner Radio Access BV comprises five Unison Main Hub units, 20 Expansion Hubs, and 150 Remote Antenna Units. It supports UMTS services and operates at the 1800MHz GSM frequency.

“Our InterReach Unison product was created specifically to address the wireless coverage challenges of buildings larger than 250,000 square feet, delivering strong and consistent performance in dense traffic environments,” said Erik Nilsson, director of sales, Wireless Group Europe for ADC. “Like Ministry LNV, many of our customers are now choosing to purchase their own in-building cellular systems to speed deployment of multi-carrier coverage.”
