Sercomtel interconnects using Jinny solutions |

Jinny Software has announced that its SMSC and Message Router has been bought by Sercomtel, a leading mobile operator in
Brazil. Sercomtel chose the solution from Jinny as it could serve and interconnect both the operator's GSM and 3G networks, as well as integrating with its legacy TDMA SMSC. Availability of local support engineers, willingness to develop a customised solution to address its specific Mobile Number Portability needs and quick deployment timeframe were all factors in choosing the solution from Jinny. Sercomtel's system will work as if it was composed of two SMSCs, one serving its current GSM network and other serving its future 3G network. Jinny's Message Router will interconnect Sercomtel's legacy TDMA SMSC with its GSM and 3G networks and with all other Brazilian operators. The customised Mobile Number Portability feature addresses specific Brazilian telecom regulation requirements.
