This is a good idea? I doubt it.

I am Plaxo’d, LinkedIn’d, Facebook’ed out. If my balls hadn’t dropped I be Bebo’d out, too. My MSN fan club is permanently at odds with my IM ‘friends’. Twitter ye not. I can hardly say a thing: it’s about stupid people who huddle together with other, stupid people. By association I am a stupid person. You may have worked that out already.

Each successive slew of digital innovation entices us further in to the multimedia miasma. Can we please say “no, stop” now? Can we conduct our lives without ‘tweets’ and ‘pokes’? It has all probably gone too far.

So much for the democratic leanings of the Internet: social networking is only about underclass-to-underclass communication or, in its latest configuration, what self-appointed celebrities are doing. Unless they are committing suicide, I am not too interested.

I guess that viewpoint makes me shallow.... and I certainly have no Facebook Friends, etc, so I must be.
