Fidelity Communications, an independent operating company (IOC) based in the U.S. state of Missouri, has chosen Nokia Siemens Networks’ hiT7300-based Metro DWDM solution to meet the rapidly growing demand for bandwidth in its core network. With over 25,000 access lines, Fidelity offers wireline telephony, long distance services, high speed access via DSL and cable modems, and IPTV services to residential and business customers. Fidelity also uses its operational experience to help other IOCs and cable operators in deploying advanced services such as Voice over IP and IP Video. Fidelity will use the Nokia Siemens Networks platform to accommodate Internet subscriber growth, demand for higher-speed Internet packages and more high-definition content.
