During 2005, TDC will reduce its staff in Denmark by approximately 630 employees. "We announced quite some time ago that we would have to reduce the number of staff in 2005. As always, our primary focus was on natural wastage, retraining and in-service training. Unfortunately, it is now clear, however, that we cannot introduce the required staff cuts without resorting to redundancies. More than 50% of the reduction will probably be in the form of redundancies", says Henning Dyremose, TDC president and ceo.

TDC's Danish businesses have a total of 14,998 full-time staff, which means that the cuts correspond to 4.2% of all employees.
