Taiwan’s National Congress (Legislative Yuan of R.O.C) has chosen Optibase’s MPEG MovieMaker 400 MPEG-4 encoding and streaming solution to serve as the core of its digital congressional system. As the highest legislative body in Taiwan, with 225 representatives and more than 3,000 personnel, The Legislative Yuan was seeking a solution that would foster communications in the legislative process by allowing proceedings occurring simultaneously throughout its chambers, to be documented and shared with all members, their staffs and the media. For this purpose a digital congressional system was designed. The system enables live delivery of video from 14 meetings rooms, recording onto a video server for instant replay or for offline play back mode.
