iPass joins protection programme Print E-mail
Wednesday, 13 April 2005

iPass has joined the Network Admission Control (NAC) programme, an industry effort led by Cisco Systems to address the protection of enterprise networks from malicious threats. By integrating NAC capabilities into iPass Policy Orchestration, iPass is able to offer integration of edge enforcement of Cisco-based networks to Internet-based remediation. iPass will integrate the Endpoint Policy Management (EPM) product with the Cisco Trust Agent to achieve NAC functionality. The iPass Endpoint Policy Management service provides enterprise IT departments with tools to automate policy compliance and remediation of laptops into a trusted state so end-users can safely log onto corporate networks. NAC is a critical part of the Cisco Self-Defending Network security strategy which helps organisations identify, prevent, and adapt to threats.
